Perhaps there was a drop in sales and they recalled the unsold ones to recycle, rather than leave them languishing in bargain bins for all time? Not likely, but possible… xD
Tbh I can’t imagine many stuffed bird toys getting recalled, unless they contain dangerous things (filling a toy with sawdust possibly, toxic dust, or the extreme example from one movie of a toy bear that jingles being ripped open to reveal the jingling noise was caused by rusty nails and shards of broken glass. But that was extreme, and only in a movie)
Santa Claus The Movie! Maaaan, Dudley Moore’s elf pun’s got more and more obnoxious as that cult classic family Christmas movie went on. But on the other hand, I did love how John Lithgow just went full camp on his villain performance in that one! It was like if his alien character from Third Rock from the Sun, Dick Solomon, was posing as his idea of what a corrupt toy company executive would be like.
Santa Claus: The Movie is my favourite Christmas movie, and one I make to watch every year on Christmas Day (when my dad has had enough of the choice on telly for Christmas Day, I pop in the DVD to watch on my own ^^)
So, does this mean that the red phoenix Ro-Pet Philomena is a standard model (in which case, why don’t we see any others in the comics) or did the Prof have one customised (in which case – how long would that take and how expensive would it be?)
