  1. Shotgun wedding? Nah, too old-fashioned and real-world…so how about a Plasma Rifle wedding? (incidentally, it’s “aisle” in this context).

I think Mark acquitted himself quite admirably in his explanation of his life plans there, to turn a profit on a commercial farm. Good job Mark! ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Danyelle says:

I think Grace should interfere before Mark gets hurt….

    1. Arn says:

      Yes….say I do Gracey!

  3. AeroTendo says:

I choose you Pikachu! I mean marriage! LOL!
I think she wouldn’t like her husband to be extra crispy all thanks to the plasma weapon so he better not use it!
Oh I can’t wait to see how she will look in the white dress and how adorable the ponies will look all dressed up too! I wonder if they’ll be using their magic to spread out the flower petals?
Will the next page be the new evil boss searching/finding them?

  4. Akaryo says:

Phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range

    1. miniapplejack says:

I see what you did there ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Red Earth says:

And there is Sweet Apple Acres…

  6. Volko says:

And this is why you don’t piss off mad-scientists. They got ALL the best toys because they aren’t illegal yet.

    1. Alan says:

But itโ€™s fun to make them ๐Ÿ™

      1. Volko says:

        I never said it wasn’t.
I said don’t pissoff mad-scientists. They are crazy.
Insteed make friends whit them, SO you can play whit all the cool not yet illegal toys they make.

  7. Michael says:

And now I envision the Spaceballs moment where you get the line “I see that your swartz is as big as mine.” Except with Prof. Harmony and the Director. And plasma guns.

    1. Volko says:

“Now let’s see how you use it!”

    2. AeroTendo says:

What about that moment where the Princess cried out, “My Hair!” and then proceeded to blast every trooper without miss!
I could see that blaster doing the same thing to someone at some point! LOL!

  8. ryttyr says:

What the…!?! I did not take Gerald for someone who’d dabble in experimental weaponry.

    1. Blake Black says:

Most likely it’s from his wild and carefree days before Grace came into the picture. Add in two cute and cuddly little ponies into the picture and I’m betting that it’s little more then a plasma torch nowadays.

      1. Arn says:

A yes…those heady day of Space Piracy!
Pitty about her career what does a space angle do for work anyway?

    2. BenRG says:

He doesn’t design weapons; THIS isn’t a weapon, it’s a proof-of-concept device that’s more about controlled electro-plasma manipulation. Basically, a thought experiment that got away from him really. I mean, there was so many fascinating scientific and engineering intersections! Electrodynamics, magnetic containment, ergonomics and optics…! Once he got his metaphorical teeth into the problem, he just couldn’t stop.

I mean… it’s not as if anyone would actually USE something like this! The government would never allow such foolishness!

      1. ryttyr says:

I love your explanation, it defenitely sounds like something the professor would say but… if he only did it for the science then why make it into a gun? Or.. I suppose that he might have been trying to make a portable handheld plasma dispenser and only afterwards realized he had made a weapon of mass destruction.

        1. Arn says:

          Anything can be a weapon.
From frying pans to folding chairs to that little key you use to open potted meat!

          1. ryttyr says:

Yeah, everything can be used as a weapon but we were talking about why he’d be making a gun. This isn’t RWBY so not everything is also a gun just because it can be used as a weapon.

            1. Arn says:

              Nothing can stop me!
I cam make a gun out of a leaf!
….oh course I won’t do it without adult supervision. Weapons are dangerous.

      2. Angel says:

I can hear the judge laughing now. After he hears what you just said in laymanโ€™s terms.

  9. VulpesRex says:

If Professor Harmoney doesn’t have a gun license, then it is axiomatic that this thing he is holding simply cannot be a gun. That’s logic!

    1. Arn says:

There is no way to drive a car if you don’t have that permit in your pocket…
Must be a low flying glider….

  10. Brownie Guy says:

    Marriage or Plasma?
ah ah ah you said Plasma first
oh come on I panicked, I truly meant to say marriage
SIGH oh fine, we’ll let you go this time.

    1. Cylestea says:

      cake or death?

      1. Arn says:

        Tea cake or death!

          1. Cylestea says:

i’m sorry we are out of tea

            1. ryttyr says:

Can I order some hot chocolate instead then?

              1. Cylestea says:

uhhh fine. your lucky i’m so nice

                1. ryttyr says:

                  Yay! Thank you.

      2. Ryan says:

Reminds me of “Celestia vs. Garble”. Fun times.
        Incidentally, got any red velvet?

        1. Arn says:

          Trixie: Tea Cup!(bomph)
          Pokes cup.
Trixie: You better not be sentient! I mean it!

  11. Arn says:

So he’s threatening Mark with a lamp then?

  12. sailtor says:

This page is messed up in two ways. First one is that two upper speech bubbles on the left of the last panel are meant to be professor Harmoney ones, but nothing on the page shows it directly. Second one is the mess with glasses. They can be seen altogether only on first panel, and that is more of the hint then the actual showing them( and golden, not black, earpieces). On other panels, we can see only lenses from the glasses on professor Harmoney(earpieces disappear together with jumper between two glaces(lens)). You might answer he just took them off … but in that case, you should look at Book 4-32( ) and you will find out his eyes are actually deep(not pale) blue without glasses.
From all above I can summarize that this page needs editing, one way or another.

    1. He took off the glasses to give Mark a sporting chance when the plasma starts flying?

      1. sailtor says:

No, he did not take them off. The image on the page is already fixed(although earpieces and jumper on this page are black, not golden, like on many previous pages, including the one I mentioned in my comment above).

        1. ryttyr says:

He probably have more than one pair of glasses you know. Like my dad, he’s got one pair of glasses for everyday use to see well at normal distances and one pair for reading to see well close up.

          1. sailtor says:

I have two pairs of glasses too. What you are saying is possible, but professor Harmoney have not even touched earpieces or jumper on this or two previous pages(where, mind you, said earpieces or jumper are golden, not black), so he simply could not technically change them(unless he posseses some magical power too, which he hides, and changes glasses with its help).

            1. ryttyr says:

Oh okay. Yeah that’s a bit of a continuity error then.

  13. Jakob David Thompson says:

Holy cow… that escalated very quickly! Hmm, death or marriage? I think the choice is very clear!

  14. Koolgy says:

This is what I love about professor harmony. He knows what the world thinks, and doges it, crafting his own world underneath

  15. Danyelle says:

Speaking of registry and the church…. How will other people react once they see Grace’s wings?

    1. Yet_Pone_More_Idiot says:

Surely other people in the area have seen Grace’s wings by now, it’s been a couple of years since they first appeared and she regularly flies about town with her two winged-pony daughters! ๐Ÿ˜€

    2. Arn says:

      Do they still do catechism?
I’m Sure Luna and Celestia would pass, pass hundred percent.
Imagine the uproar of the bishop anouncing these ponies having souls.
I’m all for intelligent, lifelong learning, test taking, empathetic beings having souls by the way.

      1. Cylindryk says:

I would say that Ponies have more soul than humans.
They at least don’t destroy their own planet and all other life.

  16. KSClaw says:

    “I’ll have the chicken then.”

  17. Borg says:

It’s true that your plasma gun would not qualify as firearm under the laws of most jurisdictions, as it does not use explosions to propel anything and one could argue firearms laws also assume a solid projectile. But I wouldn’t bet on there being no laws that can be brought to bear on the creation of a dangerous object with the specific intention of making it a weapon, and there are certainly laws against threatening people with it.
